Jewelry Care & Maintenance

Jewelry Care & Maintenance

Everyday care

  • Store each piece separately in a soft pouch or jewelry box to help prevent scratches and tarnish.
  • Use a clean, soft polishing cloth for routine surface cleaning.
  • Remove jewelry before showering, swimming, exercise, heavy-duty work, or household cleaning.
  • Apply lotion, perfume, hairspray, and other cosmetics before putting jewelry on.
  • Keep jewelry away from chlorine, strong household cleaners, and abrasive materials.

Cleaning at home

Start with a dry, soft cloth. If the product page confirms that the specific piece can be cleaned with water, use only a lightly damp soft cloth and dry the piece thoroughly afterward. Do not soak jewelry unless the product-specific care instructions say it is appropriate.

  • Avoid paper towels, tissues, rough cloths, and abrasive brushes, which can scratch finishes.
  • Do not use strong chemical cleaners or ultrasonic cleaners unless the product-specific care instructions say they are suitable.
  • For gemstones, plated finishes, or pieces with delicate settings, follow the care information on the product page before cleaning.

Before storing

Make sure jewelry is clean and fully dry. Store pieces separately and, where useful, use an anti-tarnish strip in a dry jewelry box or pouch.
